Q. Do Virtual Lesson Bundles and Summer Bundles function the same way?
A. Yes. Both options are purchased in 3 hour bundles at $64 per hour, one bundle at a time. The Virtual Lesson Bundles were launched when we needed to move off-site, in case new students wanted to take lessons on a short-term basis. Many students are familiar with our Summer Bundle offering, and may now purchase that option as well. Note: for now all lessons are held via remote. Once lessons resume onsite, bundles may be taught onsite or virtually, upon mutual agreement between student and teacher.
Q. How does a current student purchase bundles?
A. If the student is enrolled for private lesson tuition 2019-20 and wants extra time with their teacher, they simply need to fill out an official inquiry for either bundle option found on our website under Private Lessons (for example: under Summer Bundles, click on the “Get Started Now!” button). They will then be invoiced, and added to the special lesson bundle class where teachers will take attendance.
Q. How does a new student purchase bundles?
A. If the student is new to OCM, they simply need to fill out an official inquiry for either bundle option found on our website under Private Lessons (for example: under Summer Bundles, click on the “Get Started Now!” button). They will be matched with a teacher, and will be sent a link in order to fill out an official application so that an account is created. They will then be invoiced, and added to the special lesson bundle class where teachers will take attendance.
Q. If a student wants to purchase another bundle, once the first one has been completed, do they need to apply via the website?
A. No. Simply send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org - another invoice will be sent out by the Registrars (and you will be notified) within a few business days.
Q. Can students enroll for private lesson tuition at this point in the year?
A. No. All private lessons to be taken now and before August 15 will be sold as Lesson Bundles and tracked for 2019-20 Academic Year. The last date to purchase Summer Bundles: Friday, July 17.
Q. What if a current student’s sibling wants to enroll in the fall?
A. They are considered as a new student. In order to be matched with a teacher, they will need to fill out an official inquiry found on our website under Private Lessons, Get Started! Following re-enrollment on May 19, that form will be linked to a new one in FACTS/SIS so all inquiries for 2020-21 will run through our enrollment software.
Q. How do I select multiple teachers upon re-enrollment if my child has 2 instruments?
A. Follow the Re-enrollment Packet process for the first private lesson in the Student Info section. At the bottom of the page, please add any additional private lesson instrument requests in the Additional Notes box. Please include the instrument, teacher, and lesson length.
Q. How do coachings function?
A. Students may purchase coachings by filling out an official inquiry found on our website under Private Lessons, Coachings, and clicking on Get Started! Coachings cost more per hour, due to the flexibility required. They are not intended to be used long-term, and if a student misses, the teacher is expected to make them up. Note: at this point in the year, coachings may not be purchased until July 18, 2020.
